| Soon after arriving in NC, Joe hired Matt Westmoreland training him the same way he had learned the trade - measuring, cutting, inspecting and ultimately mastering the intricacies of the wood. Together, they travel about six weeks out of the year inspecting the product to make sure the quality and grain of the wood is up to their high standards. Since they are hands-on buyers, their customers can trust them to deliver consistently clean wood. | ||

warehouse has a capacity of 5,000 square feet and it is usually full,
with double the amount of lumber outside.

| World Timber's unique angle in the wood business is their ability to offer customers split truckloads. "I'm the guy who will ship 10 different woods in 10 to 15 board foot quantities, but still hold the wholesale price", Joe proudly states. World Timber is not specifically a truckload wholesaler because they will split a skid to fill special orders. Hand selection is their strength and customer service is a priority.
